Margate Terrapin Rescue Project
Dedicated to the conservation of local Diamondback Terrapin populations through the installation of roadside barriers, daily road patrols and education outreach.

If you see a terrapin,
safely stop and move it in the
DIRECTION IT WAS HEADING;
NOT where it came from.

Diamondback terrapins are wild animals and beautiful species
but are NOT PETS!
Do not take terrapins as pets.
-----------------------------
They are a nongame species
and it is illegal to harvest or collect them.
